But it hasn’t always been that way…
Once on a completely different path, Artemis pursued a career in international relations, hoping to advance global peace through legal conventions and policy. Despite her professional success, she spent years battling depression and darkness. Then, one moment changed everything. A sudden and unexpected clarity broke through the weight she had carried for so long, revealing a newfound sense of purpose. Almost overnight, she began to paint—with an ability she had never known before.
She came to understand that true impact extends beyond the enforcement of laws. Even the most just government, the most flawless legal system—imagine a modern Garden of Eden—will inevitably collapse if the individuals within it are not at peace themselves. External laws can only do so much; they restrain but do not transform. They impose order but cannot create inner harmony. Without internal alignment, humanity will falter time and time again, reaching for the apple. True governance begins within, for no external system can succeed where the inner man remains unchanged.
